Revenge is sweeter served in a movie theatre!
OMG!!!! Star Wars Revenge of the Sith rocked! Granted, there were a few scenes missing -- can you say 'Directors Cut' -- but I was pleased overall. I went to the 3:00pm showing on opening day. Yes, I was one of the 1.8 million who caused a loss of productivity that day. Hah! It was Star Wars what else would you expect. Ok, so Staci, my new GF, and I get in line at 12:15ish. We are about 50th in line. Yeah, three hours before the movie starts and we are pretty far back in line, crazy. So we wait, and wait, and wait... then the 'fans' in costume show up. These geeks are great, even though there is the off chance they will be ridiculed and mugged by a ten year old, they still show up in costume. Fabulous :) I neglected to leave my brown bath robe at home. hee hee. I think the only Star Wars costumed individuals who hold and kind of respect are the Stormtrooper guys. Everywhere they go they are accosted to have their picture taken. Of course, I obliged Staci and took a photo of her with a Stormtrooper. What can I say, I'm a softy. So, about 15 minutes before they let us into the theatre I grabbed a peek of the line in from of us. Ugh! Damn line holders. We went from being 50th in line to about 120th in line.
Cinerama has one of the best screens in the Seattle area. So getting a seat near the sweet spot is always a high priority. The sweet spot is the forward center bank of seats in the last row that is right along the middle walk way. Needless to say we were about seven rows in front of that spot. Not bad, but just close enough to make it hard to follow all of the fast action scenes.
It will be amazing to see it in Digital Projection next...
See or be seen there is no hide.

We never went to see the digital projection version. Just plain lazy or Star Wars burn out? You be the judge.
